Military Strategy and Territorial Control in Byzantine North Africa

The present project focuses on the evolving defensive strategies of the Empire from 533 to 698 to complement our knowledge of the Imperial administration. This aims to better understand the conditions under which Roman North Africa became the Muslim Maghreb.
